The Belgian Financial Forum invites you to a presentation about the next generation of the European Union and the national recovery plans with:

Ms. Maria Teresa Fabregas Fernandez, Director Recovery & Resilience Task Force, European Commission: “Recovery and Resilience Facility: impacts so far and challenges ahead”.

All Member States are implementing their Recovery and Resilience Plans. At the same time they are designing the REPowerEU Chapters and amending the Plans to take into consideration objectives circumstances such as the revision of the initial allocation inflation, inflation and disruption of supply chains that have had an impact on the implementation of some measures. Some positive impacts are already evident, but it is necessary to overcome some of the challenges to ensure full implementation by 2026.

Mr. Thomas Dermine, Secretary of State for Recovery and Strategic Investments, responsible for Science Policy, Belgian Government: "NextGen Belgium: from recovery to transition".

Two years on from its submission to the European authorities, the Next Gen Belgium Recovery Plan has entered its full implementation phase. A series of important milestones have been reached, including in flagship projects for future generations. Building on the economic recovery of the previous two years, the focus must now shift to the challenges of energy independence and transition. The projects included in Belgium's REPowerEU chapter will help to meet these challenges and support the country in its decarbonization process.

Language: Presentation will be given in English. There will be no simultaneous translation.
